Fix: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Can’t Connect to Server

This error is preventing players to get into the matchmaking process and therefore players get stuck to the solo mode only. As mentioned, the chances are high that somehow ShiFT servers are having some issue with the technical aspect. Whereas issues with the internet connectivity, game files issues, etc can be other possible reasons. Though there is nothing to do much at your end, you can perform some of the workarounds mentioned below that should help.

1. Check Server Status

First of all, you should try checking the server status of the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands game by visiting the official ShiFT Status Twitter handle. Well, it’s one of the common issues among online multiplayer games to encounter server connectivity errors, multiplayer not working, matchmaking issues, and more. Whether the game server is having issues due to the overloaded number of active players or not, the server optimization or scaling can also be a reason.

Now, if you’re getting the server connectivity error consistently with the multiplayer mode then you can check for the server status. 4. Update Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

If you haven’t updated your Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands game in a couple of weeks then make sure to check for the latest update and then install the same (if available). To do that:

For Steam:

Open the Steam client > Go to Library > Click on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands from the left pane.
It’ll automatically search for the available update. If there is an update available, make sure to click on Update.
It may take some time to install the update > Once done, make sure to close the Steam client.
Finally, reboot your PC to apply changes then try launching the game again.

For Epic Games Launcher:

Open the Epic Games Launcher > Head over to Library.
Now, click on the three dots icon of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Make sure the Auto Update option is turned on.

5. Verify and Repair Game Files

Sometimes a corrupted or missing game files on the PC may cause multiple issues with the game server connectivity. You should repair game files to check for the issue. To do so:

For Steam:

Launch Steam > Click on Library.
Right-click on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands from the list of installed games.
Now, click on Properties > Go to Local Files.

Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.
You’ll have to wait for the process until it gets completed.
Once done, just restart your computer.

For Epic Games Launcher:

Open the Epic Games Launcher > Click on Library.
Click on the three-dots icon of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Click on Verify and it’ll start verifying the game files.
Wait for the process to complete and restart the launcher.

6. Temporarily Disable Antivirus or Security Programs

Make sure to temporarily disable the antivirus program and firewall system on the PC manually to check if the server connectivity issue is still bothering you or not. The chances are possible that your antivirus program is aggressively blocking all ongoing connections. To do this:

Click on the Start Menu > Type firewall.
Select Windows Defender Firewall from the search result.
Now, click on Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off from the left pane.

A new page will open > Select the Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended) option for both the Private & Public Network Settings.

Once selected, click on OK to save changes.
Finally, restart your computer.

Similarly, you have to turn off the Windows Security protection too. Just follow the steps below:

Press Windows + I keys to open the Windows Settings menu.
Click on Update & Security > Click on Windows Security from the left pane.

Now, click on the Open Windows Security button.
Go to Virus & threat protection > Click on Manage settings.

Next, make sure to Turn OFF the Real-time protection toggle.
If prompted, click on Yes to proceed further.

7. Use LAN Play Session

Affected Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands players may experience server connectivity or multiplayer issues in the cross-platform. It may happen due to the cross-platform connectivity and you should try avoiding the cross-platform play option to check if the problem still persists or not. Meanwhile, we’ll suggest that PC players should use LAN sessions rather than normal online modes. To do so:

First, you’ll need to download and install the free Radmin app on your PC.
Next, open the Radmin app > Go to the Network menu.
You’ll need to select Create a New Network.
Once you create a new session, make sure to launch Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Go to the Settings menu > Select the LAN Play option.
Finally, you can join the LAN session that has been created by the Radmin app.

8. Reinstall the Game

If in case, none of the methods worked for you then make sure to uninstall and reinstall the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands game on the PC. Sometimes there may be an issue in the installed game files that can be fixed only by reinstalling the game. To do so:

For Steam:

Open the Steam client > Go to Library.
Right-click on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands from the left pane.
Click on Uninstall and follow the on-screen prompts to complete it.
Once done, make sure to close Steam, and reboot the PC.
Finally, launch Steam and install the game again.

For Epic Games Launcher:

Open the Epic Games Launcher > Head over to Library.
Now, click on the three dots icon of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Click on Uninstall and wait for the process to be completed.
Once done, close the launcher then reboot the PC to apply changes.
Finally, open the launcher then reinstall the Tint Tina’s Wonderlands game again.
