Also do keep in mind that you should disable some other overlay apps like MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner, RGB software, or any other third-party overlay apps that run in the background always.

7. Disable Windows Scaling
Windows OS has a screen scaling feature that automatically increases and adjusts the text size, apps, and other visuals on the screen to make them easier to watch or read. However, if you’re encountering any kind of visibility glitch then make sure to disable the Windows Scaling feature on the PC. To do this:
- Press the Windows + I keys to open Settings.
- Click on System > Set the Change the size of text, apps, and other items to 100%.

- Finally, click on Apply to save changes.
9. Lower the in-game graphics
Sometimes using the higher graphics settings in the game may cause game lags or other mouse stutters. So, reducing the in-game graphics settings may fix the lagging or stuttering issue up to some extent. It can help a lot if your PC hardware is on the lower side or becomes outdated. Launch the COD Vanguard game on the PC and then head to the graphics settings menu to adjust the graphical options to low or medium.
10. Try Changing the Mouse DPI
The mouse sensitivity can be measured in DPI (dots per linear inch). It indicates that the higher your DPI level on the mouse, the faster it will move across the screen seamlessly. It particularly helps in FPS games when each and every second or movement is essential. However, the higher DPI settings on the mouse can also cause multiple glitches or performance-related issues whatsoever.
No matter which mouse software you’ve installed or just using the default Windows mouse settings, try changing or lowering the mouse DPI at an optimal level to cross-check the issue. Try creating a new mouse DPI profile for third-party software and check for the issue again.
11. Disconnect Other Peripherals
It’s recommended to disconnect all other useless peripherals connected to the PC except for the mouse and keyboard. Then try checking out the Call of Duty Vanguard Mouse Not Working or Lags issue.
12. Disable Mouse Acceleration and Pointer Precision
Make sure to turn off the mouse acceleration and pointer precision option on the PC to check if that fixes your mouse lagging problem or not. To do so:
- Click on the Windows key to open the Start menu.
- Search for Control Panel and click on it to open.
- Now, go to the Mouse section > Click on Pointer Options.
- Uncheck the Enhance pointer precision option > Click on OK to save changes.
Some of the apps and their services may start automatically while booting the system right away. In that case, those apps or services will definitely gonna use a lot of internet connection as well as system resources. If you’re also feeling the same, make sure to perform a clean boot on your computer to check for the issue. To do that:
- Press Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
- Now, type msconfig and hit Enter to open System Configuration.
- Go to the Services tab > Enable the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox.

- Click on Disable all > Click on Apply and then OK to save changes.
- Now, go to the Startup tab > Click on Open Task Manager.
- The Task Manager interface will open. Here go to the Startup tab.
- Then click on the particular task which has a higher startup impact.
- Once selected, click on Disable to turn them off from the startup process.
- Do the same steps for each program that has a higher startup impact.
- Once done, make sure to restart your computer to apply changes.
- It should fix the Call of Duty Vanguard Mouse Not Working or lags issue on the PC.
