Realme 8i is India’s most affordable handset, launched along with Redmi 8S. The device has MediaTek Dimensity 800U, a 120Hz refresh rate display, and a 5,000mAh battery. It has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera. Realme finally started pushing their new major OS update, Realme UI 3.0, for the Realme 8i based on Android 12. The update is now started rolling around the globe.
As per some reports, it is said to be rolling with build number RMX3151_11_C.13 for users around the globe. Realme has included the latest November 2022 Security patch, which fixes many security bugs and vulnerabilities.

Steps to Install Android 12 on Realme 8i
Before we get straight to the steps to flash the Realme UI 3.0 update based on Android 12 on your Realme 8i, let us first look at the pre-requisites.
Pre-Requirements:
- This Flash File is for Realme 8i RMX3430.
- You should have a Windows Laptop or PC for this guide.
- Ensure your Realme RMX3430 has at least a 60% charge left.
- It is always recommended to take a backup of your Android Device.
- Install Latest Driver: Install the Latest Realme USB Drivers.

Here are the instructions you need to follow to install Android 12 on the Realme 8i :
- Ensure you follow and download all the required files and flash tools on your PC.
- Open the flash tool exe file to open the SP Flash Tool User Interface
- Once your load the SP Flash tool UI, Tap on the Download option
- In the download tab, you have to load both the download agent and the scatter text file in the scatter-loading section.
- You will find the scatter text file inside the ROM package for most cases, if not, you can create a scatter text file on your own.
- Once you load the file, click the Download button
- To start the upgrade process of Android 12 on your Realme 8i, you need to turn off your device and hold the Volume Down and Volume Up key together and Connect your Phone to your PC/Laptop using a USB Cable (Keep the Volume Down and Volume Up button until your computer detects the phone.)
- When the phone connects, your device will start upgrading the stock firmware
- You need to wait for a few minutes to complete the upgrade process.
- Once the flashing process completes, you will find a green button which means a successful upgrade.
- That’s it! You can reboot your Realme 8i

interestingly, we have 2 realme 8i’s. one is full spec, and one is the cheapest. the one with the 128gb storage is already on Android 12, for almost a month. while my personal phone with 64gb still has not received an update.
