I Lost My AirPods! How To Find Your Lost AirPods or AirPods Pro

This is a very common situation very Airpods user faces. You mostly lose one or both the AirPods. But there is nothing to worry about, Apple has already thought about that. Follow the below simple methods to do so.

By Using Maps

Find Lost AirPods

On your computer

  • Go to iCloud.com.
  • Sign in with your Apple ID.
  • Open Find iPhone.
  • Click All Devices, then click your AirPods.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  • Open the Find My app.
  • Select the Devices tab.
  • Choose your AirPods.

Under each device, you see a location, or “No location found.”

If your AirPods are separated from each other, you see only one location at a time on the map. Find the AirPod that you see on the map and put it in its case. Then refresh the map and find the other one.

By Playing a Sound

On your computer

  • Go to iCloud.com on your macOS or Windows computer.
  • Sign in using your Apple ID.
  • And click on Find iPhone.
  • Click on All Devices from top-middle and select your AirPods.
  • You will see the approximate location on Map.
  • Finally, click on Play Sound from the top right.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  • Open Find My app on your iPhone.
  • Sign in using your Apple ID, if needed.
  • You will see your AirPods on the map.
  • Under Devices tap on your AirPods name.
  • And then tap on Play Sound.

Your AirPods play a sound that gets gradually louder for two minutes, or until you tell them to stop.

Using Third-Party Apps

  • Download Wunderfind: Find Lost Device app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Open the app and give it the necessary permission to use Bluetooth.
  • The app will quickly start scanning for Bluetooth devices nearby.
  • Tap on your AirPods name.
  • You will see a percentage. Move around your house. The closer you get to your AirPods, the percentage increases.
  • Once you are near, you can look for the lost AirPods around.

If your AirPods are offline

If you didn’t turn on Find My [device] before your AirPods went missing, you can’t use it to locate your device. If you see “No location found” under your AirPods, you can’t play a sound to find them but you might be able to get directions to the location where they were last connected. If your AirPods do come back online, you’ll get a notification on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch you use them with.

Find My is the only way that you can track or locate a lost or missing device. There is no other Apple service that can find, track, or otherwise flag your device for you.
