Clean the receiver of iPhone
If your iPhone is exposed to dirt and dust, you need to keep the receiver clean and clear. Use a toothpick or any small pointed thing that is not made of metal; dig out all the dirt or dust gathered in the receiver.
Turn up the volume
While listening to music or watching videos, we tend to adjust the volume; if you have lowered the volume by mistake, you won’t be able to listen to the voice during a conversation. So, better turn up the volume now.
Check the Bluetooth
If you are using any Bluetooth device while calling, like AirPods, then follow this troubleshooting step.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Bluetooth label.
- Toggle the Bluetooth Slider toward the left to turn it off.
- Reboot the iPhone.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Bluetooth label.
- Toggle the Bluetooth Slider toward the right to turn it on.
Forced Reboot iPhone
On iPhone 8/8 Plus, X and iPhone 11 Series
- Quickly press and release the Volume Up button.
- Quickly press and release the Volume Down button.
- Press and hold Side until the Apple logo appears, then release the Side button.
On iPhone 7/7 Plus
- Press and hold the volume down button
- And then sleep/wake button at once for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
On iPhone 6s or Earlier
- Press and hold the home button
- And then sleep/wake button at once until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
Erase All Content and Settings
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to General settings.
- Scroll down and tap on Reset.
- And finally, tap on Reset All Settings.
