The developer mention that in the twrp3, TWRP boots, Fastboot boot is working fine. However, decryption is not working. Also, system, vendor and product partitions mount doesn’t work as well. Let’s check out some details about the flagship OnePlus 7T. OnePlus 7T released in October 2019. It sports a 6.5-inches fluid AMOLED display with Gorilla 5 glass protection from Corning. This device runs on a Snapdragon 855+ chipset from Qualcomm. The new flagship entry from OnePlus offers a memory of 8 GB with options for 128 GB and 256 GB. Out-of-the-box the device comes with OxygenOS 10 based on Android 10.

The camera section packs a triple-lens setup with 48 MP(wide) + 12 MP(telephoto) + 16MP(ultrawide). On the front face, the device has a 25mm of 16MP camera with Auto HDR and support for 1080 video recording at 60FPS. 7T has no headphone jack. A non-removable Li-Po battery of 3800 mAh powers up the device. Among other features, OnePlus 7T packs in-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, etc.

Steps to Install TWRP Recovery On OnePlus 7T

Before going to the TWRP installation process, make sure to follow all the pre-requirements mentioned below properly.

Pre-Requisites:

The file and guide are supported for the OnePlus 7T only. Don’t try it on other devices.
Remember to unlock the bootloader of OnePlus 7T. Check out the guide.
A PC/Laptop and a USB cable are required for this process.
Make sure to take a Full Backup of Device Data (No Root).
Download Magisk or SuperSU file for performing the root. You can follow one method from below.
Charge your device battery to full.
Download and Install the latest OnePlus USB Drivers on the computer.

Installation Instructions

Step-1 Download the required files and move them to your device storage.

Step-2 Switch your device off. Press power button+ Volume Down to enter fastboot mode

Step-3 Now connect your device to PC.

Step-4 In the folder where you have installed ADB, go and right-click + Shift >Open Powershell Window here.

Step-5 After command prompt opens, type the following command to flash TWRP

fastboot flash recovery twrpname.img

Step-6 To boot into TWRP, you can type the following code

fastboot boot twrpname.img

That’s all you need to do. Now, your device should be laced with TWRP.

Rooting OnePlus 7T

Now that we are done with TWRP, it’s time to root the Oneplus 7T. Rooting will give you the superuser access and you can enhance the way you want to experience Android OS on your device. You can flash custom firmware, debloat the device, overclock and underclock it. We must clarify here that in no means rooting is similar to that of hacking.
