Stardew Valley Festival of Ice and Competition Guide
The festival of ice is an event in Stardew Valley which marks the first winter festival in the game. The most interesting aspect of the festival is the fishing competition which takes place during the event. Before we proceed to the specifics of the competition which takes place in the Festival of Ice, here’s a brief summary of the Festival of Ice.
- Date – 8th Winter
- Time – 9am to 2pm
- Location – Cindersap Forest
- Farm Return Time – 10pm
Once you know when the event starts, you are all set for the Festival of Ice. As soon as you go to the location, you will be able to see a number of ice sculptures and a very well decorated area. That is the place where the event will be taking place. If you are bored of just moving around the area or want to do something new, don’t worry, the Festival of Ice has more to it.
The major attraction of the Festival of Ice is the fishing competition that is held. If you want to participate in the competition you need to talk to Lewis. Once you have done that, you need to catch at least five fishes to win the tournament every year. The goal of the competition is to catch as many fish as possible in the given time of two minutes. To ensure that you catch the most number of fishes, you need to make sure you are standing close to the pond. If you can’t win despite trying, again and again, you should head back to practicing how to fish before coming back to the competition again.
Coming to the competition rewards. When you win the competition for the first time you’ll get a Barbed Hook, a Dressed Spinner, a Magnet, and a Sailor’s Cap. If you are really skilled and end up winning the competition once again you will be rewarded with 2,000g and you will receive it as part of your daily earnings at the end of the day.
