2. Check Your Internet Connection

A slow internet connection is one of the most common problems why your videos are not getting uploaded on TikTok. You don’t need a 50mbps speed. Having an internet connection with a moderate speed can also do the work, but it will longer than usual. It’s recommended to have a Wi-Fi connection while uploading large sized videos.

Turn off the Wi-Fi router and then turn it back on after a minute. If you’re on mobile data, turn on the Airplane mode and then turn it back to off. You can also try moving to a place with the good network coverage.

3. Clear the App Cache

Clearing the cache for the TikTok application has done the trick for many users. By doing this, the old cache data gets deleted and the application fetches new data. To clear the app cache data, open the Settings app, go to application manager, select TikTok, and clear cache data.

In case you are not able to upload videos even after clearing the cache, please click on clear app data. By doing this, you’ll remove all the data in the TikTok app. So, you’ll need to log in again.

4. Restart Your Device

There could be some software-related issue which is why your videos are not uploading on TikTok. Or, some background activities could be causing the problem. Restarting your phone removes the background activities, which can fix the issue.

To restart your iPhone, press and hold the power button and slide the power off button to the right to turn off the phone. Now, wait for a minute and turn on the device.

On an Android phone, press and hold the power button, and select the restart option.

5. Turn off VPN

While VPN is recommended for safe and secure internet access, it can sometimes be stressful. If your VPN provider is facing any issues or the internet connection is not stable, you are likely to face issues in video uploading. Also, if the server load is very high, you’ll have a bad internet experience.

Turn the VPN off, close the TikTok app, and open it again. Now, try to post a video to check if the issue still persists.

6. Check for Community Guidelines Violations

TikTok has faced a lot of heat in the past for showing inappropriate things like sexual content, hate messages, etc. Now, the algorithm is so smart enough to analyze such content and blocks them instantly. So, if any of your videos have failed to comply with TikTok’s community guides, your account may have been banned.

Sometimes, TikTok blocks users from posting anything for 48 hours. A temporary blocking can also last for 14 days after which you’ll be able to post new content. To find the block duration and reason, go to the Account Updates section in the app. After TikTok unblocks your account, you must remove the video that put your account in trouble.

7. Report the Issue to TikTok
