Finally, LG rolled Android 8.0 Oreo update for LG G6. The update brings the latest Android 8.0 Oreo along with latest features and update. If you are running the Android 7.1.2 Nougat, then you must give a try for the new baked sweet of Android known as Android Oreo. Along with this update, you will also get the latest Security Patch and other bug fixes. Now you can download LG G6 Android 8.0 Oreo for the model: Europe (H870) and Verizon LG G6.

Talking about the specs, LG G6 features a 5.7-inches display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by Quad-core (2×2.35 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) and Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 32/64/128GB internal memory which can also be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The camera on the LG G6 comes with Dual 13MP (f/1.8, OIS, 3-axis, phase detection AF) + 13 MP (f/2.4, no AF), dual-LED flash and 5MP front shooting camera.

The update is currently rolling via OTA (Over the air) to users. The rollout is in a phase-wise manner, it may take a couple of days or weeks to receive the update notification on your phone. If you are not patient, then you can upgrade LG G6 to Android 8.0 Oreo manually.
With the new update, LG G6 will see a couple of changes such as, New boot splash screen which will say “LG G6 ThinQ” along with new AI integrations, like AI Camera, which introduces new camera filters as well as scene recommendations. The Security Update on this build is still running in March 2018.
