Fix: Pixel 6 Pro No Service or No Network issue

The newly launched Google Pixel 6 Pro is the top flagship model by Google under the Pixel family at the time of writing this article. It includes a fully redesigned overview, a new camera setup, Android 12 out of the box, and a more powerful in-house Tensor chipset. However, it seems that there are a bunch of bugs or issues troubling Pixel 6 Pro users since its launch. Meanwhile, users are reporting about the Pixel 6 Pro No Service or No Network issue.

There are endless numbers of bugs or issues appearing to the Google Pixel 6/6 Pro users from slower fingerprint unlock or fingerprint unlock not responding, selfie camera blur issue, random screen wakeup issue, Google Asisstant quick phrase not available, Magic Eraser not working, and more. Additionally, the missing face unlock feature, app crashing or freezing, screen flickering & green tint issue, etc are also bothering users a lot.

Fix: Pixel 6 Pro No Service or No Network issue

Currently, the affected Pixel 6 Pro users are storming the Pixel Phone Help forum about the same issue and it seems that it’s a widespread problem for sure. According to multiple reports, the device service drops the network connectivity or signal quite frequently no matter which carrier service they’re using. It basically shows “NO SERVICE” or “NO SIM” status at the status bar (in the top left corner) every time of the lock screen and in the top right corner generally.

Whereas the signal strength area basically shows an exclamation mark (!) that indicates the device system can’t actually detect or find out the SIM card network whatsoever. Only after rebooting the device, the network connectivity restores temporarily which is a major issue for the Pixel 6 Pro users. Although the system says “NO SIM”, it can still detect the inserted SIM in the Settings app > Network and Internet > SIMs section which is quite weird.

Meanwhile, some affected Pixel 6 Pro users have tried the following steps to troubleshoot the issue manually but these didn’t help at all. Even after inserting a new physical SIM card or an eSIM, the issue persists. Whereas performing the factory reset method on the device didn’t help either. We’re expecting that Google should gonna resolve the problem in their next update soon. Till then you can try following the methods below to check if that helps or not.

1. Reboot the Device

We can understand that rebooting the device may not work for everyone and every time but it’s worth trying at least once if you’re facing any kind of connectivity issues or frequent drops whatsoever. It doesn’t require any extra effort or time so you can try it out. Just long-press the Power button on the Pixel 6 Pro and the Power menu will appear. Simply tap on Restart to automatically reboot the system on the device.

2. Disable Adaptive Connectivity

By turning off the Adaptive Connectivity feature on your Google Pixel 6 Pro device, you’ll be able to fix the conflict with the mobile network. This feature can automatically detect and decide which mobile network is having the best service or signal from 4G & 5G every time. So, it can automatically switch between a stable and stronger mobile network for improved user experience. Whereas it can also switch to 4G to preserve battery when required.

  • Make sure to go to the Settings menu on your Pixel 6 Pro.
  • Now, tap on Network and Internet > Scroll to Adaptive Connectivity.
  • Make sure to turn off the toggle next to it.
  • Once done, reboot the device, and check whether the SIM connectivity issue has been fixed or not.

3. Reset Network on the Device

If none of the methods worked for you, try performing the network reset on your Pixel 6 Pro model to check if the problem is still bothering you or not. To do so:

  • Go to the Settings menu on your Pixel 6 Pro.
  • Go to System > Scroll down to Reset Options and tap on it to open.
  • Now, tap on Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth > Tap on Reset settings at the bottom.
  • Wait for the reset process to complete. Once done, reboot the device to apply changes immediately.
  • You should remove and insert the physical SIM card again to get it detected easily. In some scenarios, this method may fix the SIM card-related issues.

Comments

  1. Tried all these but still having connectivity issues (no network). I don’t think it’s even a sim issue, or a service provider issue. Coz, when I transferred my sim card to my older Pixel 2 XL, I had none of these issues.

  2. Has the issue been resolved I’m having the same issue as well. Tried the same sim in an iPhone worked no problem I think is the phone modem that is not working properly

  3. I’ve tried all of these options and have had zero luck. I have to reboot or go into airplane mode atleast 3 times a day. I hate it, but I like the phone. I hope Google and get it sorted out by the time Im actually sick of it and switch to Apple

  4. The Pixel 6 has a serious issue. I have tried all of the above and other fixes without solution. I have sent several bug reports to Google as well. This phone has become so unreliable I can no longer use it and will have to replace it.

  5. Just got Pixel 6 pro and having the same issue. Data just drops randomly but calls work fine. Unless I restart. Worst phone ever. Bought this because of a lot of hype about Pixels.
