Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Device Overview:

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The brightness is also quite high, with maximum peak brightness reaching up to 1500 nits, making outdoor visibility no issue at all. As for the protection, we have the industry best Gorilla Glass Victus protection in the S21+ and the HDR10+ certification for HDR video playback.

For processing power, we get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 for the Chinese and American markets, while the rest of the world gets the Exynos 2100 chipset. Both these processors are built on a 5nm manufacturing process. The Snapdragon 888 is an octa-core processor consisting of one Kryo 680 core clocked at 2.84 GHz, 3 Kryo 680 cores clocked at 2.42 GHz, and four Kryo 680 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The Exynos 2100 is also an octa-core processor with one Cortex-X1 core clocked at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.8 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz.

Regarding optics, we have a quad-camera setup at the rear and a single high-megapixel camera at the front. The quad-camera setup consists of a 108MP primary sensor paired with an f/1.8 lens, a 10MP periscopic telephoto lens paired with an f/4.9 lens, and a 10MP telephoto sensor paired with an f/2.4 lens, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor paired with an f/2.2 lens. The rear setup is capable of capturing 8K videos at 24 fps. We also have stereo sound recording and HDR10+ video recording. Coming to the front, we have a 40MP lens paired with an f/2.2 lens. This is capable of capturing 4K videos at 60 fps.

The smartphone is available in three storage options: 12GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, 12GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage, and 16GB of RAM with 512GB of internal storage. The top option is definitely overkilled for a smartphone. The phone comes with Android 11 out of the box, with OneUI 3.1 running on top. In terms of connectivity, we have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2.

Additionally, the photo viewer has also been updated with a shadow and reflection remover feature, making it easier for users to edit their photos.

Furthermore, the Weather app has also been updated with a new widget, giving users access to real-time weather updates directly on their home screens. Another notable addition is the new battery widget, which displays the battery status of all connected devices along with the phone. • Improved Material You: One UI does not fully implement Material You design, but it offers wallpaper-based device theming. In the One UI 5.0 / 5.1, we get to choose from eight solo color presets. Several tweaks have been made to the Wallpaper & style section.
• Smart Widgets: With One UI 5.0, you can create the scrollable quick-look widgets by long pressing atop an existing widget on the home screen. You can also enable auto-rotation for widgets.
• Camera App Improvements: More features have been added to the Samsung Camera app in the One UI 5.0 / 5.1. In the latest version of the One UI skin, you can auto-watermark the images. You can customize the watermark with different font and layout options. Withing the Camera Promode, a histogram function has been added. It helps you manage the light distribution on a scene your camera is pointing at.
• Call-Related Changes: Several tweaks have been made to the call feature as well. During a call, you can quickly take notes by tapping the tree-dot menu button in the upper-right corner. With One UI 5.0, you can fully customize the call background image. You can even customize it on a contact-to-contact basis.
• Quick Settings Improvements: The Quick Settings panel is getting a more Pixel-like layout for the incoming notifications. Like the Pixel phones, there’s an Active Apps option in the One UI 5.0 / 5.1, which you can access by tapping on the upper-right kebab menu button. Steps to Install Android 13 on Samsung S21 Ultra

Before we get straight to the steps to flash the One UI 5.0 / 5.1 update based on Android 13 on your Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, let us look at the prerequisites first.

Pre-Requirements: 

• Download and Install Samsung Kies Software on your computer.
• You must download the latest Samsung USB Drivers and install them on your PC.
• Make sure that you have ODIN Software installed on your PC.
• You will also require a Windows PC/Laptop and a USB cable.
• Keep your Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra battery charged by at least 60% for a smoother process.
• Take a backup of your device (No Root) before doing anything.

1. Download the appropriate Android 13 firmware file for your Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
2. Extract the contents of the firmware zip file.
3. Notice that the extracted files will be in “.tar” or “.tar.md5” format.
4. Now download and extract the Odin tool on your PC.
5. Open the extracted folder and click on the Odin.exe file.
6. You need to connect your Galaxy S21 Ultra to the PC while it is in Download Mode.
7. Notice that the CO port will light up on Odin once you connect your phone.
8. Click the AP button and select the firmware.
9. Do the same for BL, CP, and CSC.
