Is Vivo V19 Neo a Waterproof Smartphone?

Since 2009, Vivo has been producing numerous outstanding smartphones for our everyday life. A Chinese technology company for smartphone production owned by BBK Electronics. Vivo has gone through lots of changes, one of which is they have developed their own OS Funtouch OS.

Vivo V19 Neo is one another version of Vivo V19 series, like Vivo V19 and Vivo V19 Pro. The new model is supposed to have similar features, but you would probably want to know more. Even though our main objective in this article is to conclude whether Vivo V19 Neo is waterproof or not, we will also be mentioning V19 New’s features.

Vivo V19 Neo Device Features

Released on June 13, 2020, Vivo V19 has a display size of 6.44 inches with a Super AMOLED touchscreen with 16m colors and 1080 x 2400 pixels of resolution. Moreover, to protect the display from any external impact, Vivo V19 New has Corning Gorilla Glass Protection. The dimensions of the smartphone are 159 x 74.2 x 8.5 mm, which only weighs 176g.  Though it is built via Glas front, plastic back, and a plastic frame, it weighs much lighter in your palms.

V19 New supports Dual Nano SIM’s with GSM/HPA/ LTE network technology. The device runs on Android Pie and Funtouch OS 9.2 with the Qualcomm SDM675 Snapdragon 675  chipset. Even more, the GPU Vivo V19 Neo uses is Adreno 612, and the CPU is Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Kryo 460 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 460 Silver) which will give you very smooth gaming experience.

Both versions of V19 Neo comes with the same 8GB RAM, and the rear camera system is of quad cameras. One is 48M for wide, 8MP camera for ultrawide, 2MP for macro, and another 2MP camera for depth. These four cameras together give you an excellent professional level picture on your smartphone. Also, it has a LED flash, HDR, and Panorama support.

The front camera has only one camera of 32MP, enough for getting a selfie with a lot of details. The common features of every smartphone like WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, Radio, and USB are there on the smartphone upgraded to the lastest Wi-Fi 802.11, etc. The fingerprint sensor is present under the optical display, and other sensors like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass are also installed on Vivo V19 Neo. The smartphone supports 18W of fast charging in Non-removal Li-Po 4500mAh battery.

Is vivo V19 Neo a Waterproof Smartphone?

Since there is no IP rating available for Vivo V9 Neo, it is safe to assume that the device is not waterproof nor water-resistant. Only High-end devices are built waterproof, and they have IP ratings. Since Vivo V19 Neo is a budget smartphone, it is not a proper waterproof or dustproof device.

Moreover, there is no evidence of Vivo V19 Neo tested in water. Hence it is recommended not to throw your smartphone in the water. We also request users not to use this device in the rain, shower, or near swimming pools, beach, etc.

Conclusion

Vivo V19 Neo launched in June 2020 with promising features like quad cameras and a 4500 mAh long-life battery, etc. However, Vivo V19 Neo is a budget phone, and if you are expecting more high-end waterproof protection and features, it is not that phone.

The V19 Neo has two models. According to the prize, one has 128Gb of internal storage, and one has256GB of internal storage. Moreover, the device also supports an extra micro SDXC card and has a dedicated slot.

Both variants of the V19 Neo has 8GB of RAM and Adreno 612 GPU. The device wasn’t designed to resist water, and since there is no  IP rating for V19 Neo, so it is not waterproof.
