I don’t think that Vivo needs any introduction as it is the world’s most top-selling smartphone. From OS updates to specifications, everything is perfect from Vivo’s side. In addition, it wouldn’t be wrong if I say that this is the era of Vivo as it is the second most famous smartphone brand in India after Xiaomi and the third most smartphone selling brand in China.
But are they really caring and provide regular software updates? Well, this is something that might be one of the game-changer services that attracts users. But, as we know that Android 12 is going to launch anywhere soon, by the end of this year. Meanwhile, OnePlus has already started rolling out the Android 12 based OxygenOS beta version for its premium category smartphones.
But, where is Vivo, especially the Vivo devices which are launched back in 2020, such as Vivo Y11s, Y12S, and Y20s? Do they get the Android 12 (Funtouch OS 12) update? Well, every answer you’ll find in this article. So, make sure to be with us till the end.
Will Vivo Y11s, Y12S, and Y20s Get Android 12 (Funtouch OS 12) Update?
So, did you have any of these devices? If so, then there’s some bad indication for you guys as Vivo officially confirms their eligibility for the upcoming Android 12 Funtouch OS 12 update. But, in that list, these devices are not able to make a place.
But, as we always said that there is always a possibility. Therefore, now you need not worry more; just wait until Vivo reveals the final list.
However, no one knows the release date of Android 12 Funtouch OS 12 for their premium devices as they only said that soon they are planning to roll out the update to its premium device. Now, the main question that occurs is whether their premium devices will get the beta update first or directly get the stable version because, on that basis, we speculate the possibilities of getting the update on these devices. But, still, we may expect that the update will start rolling out from the starting of 2022. However, before we move to the tracker list, let us first discuss the specification of these devices.
Vivo Y11s, Y12S, and Y20s Specifications:
All these devices are specially made to target the budget and mid-range audience and really did a tremendous business as per the reports and stats. Well, at first, if we are talking about the power, then Y20s and Y11s come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 along with the Adreno 610. In comparison, the Y12s comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439, which is an octa-core processor.
Meanwhile, talking about the RAM and storage capacity, then Y11s and Y12s comes with the 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage options. On the other hand, the Y20s comes with three variants, i.e., 128GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM.
Also, all these devices launch with Android 10 out of the box, which is further upgradable to Android 11 Funtouch OS 11. Now, as we see, all these devices already get one major update, and as per Vivo update policy, they only provide a single update to its budget range smartphone.
