Using the Nintendo Switch System

Using Nintendo Switch App

Before using the Parental Control from the app, make sure to follow the below steps to successfully link your Nintendo account to the Nintendo Switch:

Download and install the app either on iOS or the Android Play Store.
After opening the app, tap on ‘Create or sign in to your Nintendo Account’ option from the screen.
After logging in successfully, the app will ask you to link your Nintendo Switch to the account.
Tap the Next button when asked to confirm.

Now you are good to go the Parental Controls. Follow the below instructions to do so:

Now, tap Set Play Time. Set a daily limit on playtime from no limit up to six hours in 15-minute increments. Tap Next.
Then, Under Select restriction level, Tap None.

Using Nintendo Account

You can only restrict the Nintendo eShop restrictions from the Nintendo account.

Tap/Launch the System Settings from the Home menu.
Scroll down and look for Users.
Now, tap on the Users label/section from the left-hand side.
Select the account you want to enable restrictions in the eShop.
Scroll down and look for Nintendo eShop Settings.
Now, tap on the Nintendo eShop Settings.
Scroll down to Password-Entry Settings and select Change.
Select Enter.
Hit Save or A on your controller to save.
