Therefore, the window keeps updating itself frequently with the latest patches and additional features. The simple features like copy and paste are to most useful features that make our life easy. However, you can find yourself in a problem, where copy-paste is not working on Windows 10 PC. This is one of the Windows bugs that occurs due to damage in system files, windows updates, antivirus restrictions, etc.

There is none specific reason for the error to occur on Windows. However, we can speculate that it is due to the old version of Windows, due to system file damage or some third-party software is in conflict with the system copy-paste feature. Though there isn’t any specific fix to this issue; however, there are a few solutions that you can try to resolve the copy-paste issue. Solution 1: Run Disk Utility

If your systems files are corrupted, then you may face the copy-paste issue. Therefore, run the disk utility check to scan and fix the issue.

Step 1) Firstly, open up the file explorer, select the C drive, right-click on it, and select Properties.

Step 1) Type Task Manager in the Windows Search bar, and click on the Task Manager to open up the application.

Step 2) Now locate to the Details tab and scroll down, navigate the rdpclip.exe service.

Step 3) Select the rdpclip.exe service, right-click on out, and select End Task.

Then locate to the following folder Windows/system32 and double click on the rdpclip.exe to run it.

Solution 3: Restart your Pc or Check for Windows Update

If you are having trouble using the copy-paste feature, then try to restart the computer at first. Even after the restart, if the copy-paste function is not working, then follow the steps mentioned below to check and install windows update.

Step 1) Click on the Windows key to open up the Start menu then click on the Settings icon to open up the Windows settings.

Step 2) Select the Update & Security option.

Step 3) Now click on the Check for updates button, now windows will check for updates, and it will automatically download and install the latest patches. This will probably fix the issue.

Solution 4: Disable your Antivirus or Use Comfort Clipboard Pro

If none of the above steps was helpful, then the last thing you can do is check your third-party antivirus software. Open up your antivirus, disable it and try to copy-paste something if it’s working now, then the antivirus application was in conflict with the copy-paste feature.

If you don’t want to disable or uninstall your Antivirus then you can use a third-party application for copying and pasting. Turbo copy is one great copying software if you consider it.
