However, it seems that plenty of unfortunate players are encountering multiple issues with the Tchia FPS Dropping on their PS4 or PS5 consoles so often.

4. Turn Off Motion Blur and Film Grain

Head over to General in the settings menu.
Select Visuals > Turn Off both Motion Blur and Film Grain.

5. Reduce the Field of View

You can also try lowering the field of view option in the game settings menu to minimize the chances of occurring visual stutters and frame drops so often. Though the Field of View (FOV) feature usually determines the level of the game scenes and visuals to your eyes, a higher FOV will affect the overall gaming performance in most cases. To do that:

Go to the Settings menu on PS4/PS5 > Choose Visuals.
Now, you’ll need to reduce the FOV option to check if the Tchia FPS drop issue is still troubling.

6. Tweak Display Settings in Game

We’ll also suggest you adjust the in-game display settings on your PlayStation console to reduce the graphics quality to get optimal performance. To do that:

For PS5:

Go to the Settings menu > Select Visuals > Locate the Graphics Mode option.
Select the Performance mode > Try lowering the resolution.
Now, Turn Off other visual effects to reduce lags or FPS drops.

For PS4:

Go to the Settings menu > Select Display & Sound.
Locate the Video Output Settings option > Lower the Display Resolution to 1080p.
Disable other display options to cross-check the issue.

7. Check for Overheating

Overheating can also be a major reason behind the reduced system performance or in-game lags & FPS drops on the console. If you’ve kept your console in a congested area then make sure to place it in an open space with less congestion. Do keep in mind that using the console consistently for long hours without giving some rest or rebooting the system can also cause performance drops in heavy applications and games. Additionally, proper air circulation or ventilation is required.

Avoid placing the console under sunlight exposure for a long time and shut it down while not using it to cool it down. You can also check the temperature of your console from the Settings menu > System > System Information. Now, check the temperature under Status to ensure it’s under control.
