Magic: The Gathering (MTG) is a world of Magic, fantasy and powerful wizards. It started as a tabletop collectable card game in the mid-90s and was released by Wizards of the Coast. Yes, the same company behind the cult classic Dungeons & Dragons and our favourite Pokemon Card games. MTG Arena was the first popular tabletop card game released by Wizards of the Coast.

The game took heavy inspiration from the already popular Dungeons & Dragons. The game has a huge fan following and a strong player base. Even though it started as a tabletop collectable card game (which is still played by the way), it has also released three digital games which can be played online. The digital games are Magic: The Gathering Arena, Magic: The Gathering Online and Magic Duels.

All three games can be played on computers, smartphones and tablets. The introduction to the online platform has further boosted the game’s popularity. MTG Arena Deck Tier list 2023

The Tier list for Magic: The Gathering Arena can be classified into the following 4 groups-

• Tier 1 (S) : These are the best decks with a high chance of winning rates. These decks pack the heavy hitters. Having these cards means your victory is inevitable. Also, these are preferred mostly, hence, they have the highest play rates too.
• Tier 2 (A) : Although not as strong as the Tier 1, but, in the hands of a seasoned player, these cards can be a weapon of destruction.
• Tier 3 (B) : Simply said, these cards are volatile as they don’t have the consistency as the above two tiers. Playable, but it’s generally not recommended.
• Tier 4 (C) : These are the worst combination and it’s highly recommended to not use them in your ranked matches.
