Samsung finally started pushing their new major OS update; One UI 4.0 for the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Flip 5G based on Android 12. The update is now started rolling around the globe.

As per some reports, it is said to be rolling with build number F707BXXS6FVAA for users in Europe and will soon reach other users around the globe. With this, Samsung has included the latest January 2022 Security patch which fixes many security bugs and vulnerabilities.

Being the 12th installment of the Android series, Android 12 creates a lot of hype with its new features, design, UI improvements, and many more. According to the official, they are planning to release the stable version of their latest OS update anywhere soon in the month of August or October month. The Galaxy Z Flip has a 6.7-inches foldable dynamic AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1080×2636 pixels with HDR10+ support. While folded, the display will turn in size of 1.1-inches Super AMOLED with a resolution of 112×300 pixels. It runs on One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box. The device packs a decent 3,300mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

It’s powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, paired with Adreno 640 GPU, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage (UFS 3.0). Keep in mind that it doesn’t have any storage expandable option. While talking about the cameras, the handset sports dual rear cameras with a primary 12MP camera (wide, f/1.8) and a secondary 12MP (ultrawide, f/2.2) lens. It has an LED flash, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS, HDR, Panorama, etc.

While the front packs a single 10MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture wide-angle lens that has PDAF, HDR mode, etc. There is no 3.5mm audio jack. It features dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, NFC, USB Type-C port, USB OTG, etc. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, barometer sensor.

Steps to Install Android 12 on Samsung Z Flip

Installation Instructions:

We have provided a full detailed installation guide to flash the Android 12 update using Odin Tool on your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. In order to flash Android 12 (One UI 4.0) on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, you need to follow the below guide carefully:

  1. Download the appropriate Android 12 firmware file for your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
  2. Extract the contents of the firmware zip file.
  3. Notice that the extracted files will be in “.tar” or “.tar.md5” format.
  4. Now download and extract the Odin tool on your PC.
  5. Open the extracted folder and click on the Odin.exe file.
  6. You need to connect your Galaxy Z Flip to the PC while it is in Download Mode. Samsung-Download-Mode-Confirm
  7. Notice that the CO port will light up on Odin once you connect your phone.
  8. Click the AP button and select the firmware.
  9. Do the same for BL, CP, and CSC.
  10. Keep in mind that the regular CSC file will erase the entire data. In order to save the data, select the ‘HOME_CSC‘ file.
  11. Don’t forget to select Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time in the Options tab.
  12. Click the Start button to install the firmware on your Galaxy Z Flip.
