Fix 1: Disable Overlay

Turning off the overlay is the first step to solve the Dev error code 5523. Overlays are due to GeForce Experience, Discord, Bandicam, Overwatch, Fraps, and Game Bar. Fix 4: Run the Game as Administrator

Sometimes, the games are unable to utilize all the system resources due to a lack of permissions. As it is not possible to grant each and every permission, respectively. It is easier to turn on the Administrator’s rights for the game. To run the game as administrator, follow the steps below.

  1. Right-click on “Battle.net”
  2. Then select “Properties” from the drop-down menu.

  4. After that, tick the two bottom checkboxes that say “Run this app as administrator” and “disable full-screen optimization.”

  2. Click on Settings
  3. Now click on “Update and Security.”
