3. Power Cycle the Wi-Fi Router
Sometimes only rebooting the game or device or switching the internet connection may not come in handy because there might be an issue with the Wi-Fi router. In that scenario, performing the power cycle on your Wi-Fi router can also fix the internet connectivity-related issues completely. To do that:
- Turn off the router first > Once the LED indicators stopped, unplug the power cable from the router.
- Now, wait for around 30 seconds, and then plug back the power cable into the router.
- Turn on the router and check for The Cycle Frontier server connectivity error.
4. Update Diablo IV
An outdated game patch version can always trigger several issues with the game launching or connecting to the game servers. So, try updating the game to the latest available version by following the steps below to avoid multiple conflicts whatsoever.
- Open the Battle.net (Blizzard) launcher.
- Click on the Blizzard logo from the top left corner.
- Go to Settings > Click on Game Install/Update.
- Click on Apply latest updates and download future patch data for recently played games to enable it.
- Now, click on Done to save changes > Restart the Battle.net launcher to apply changes.
- It should automatically update the game to the available version.
5. Repair the Game Files
In some cases, corrupted or missing game files on the PC can trigger several issues with the launching as well as server connectivity errors. It’s better to simply repair game files as a precaution. To do this:
- Open the Battle.net client on your PC.
- Click on the Diablo IV game.
- Now, click on OPTIONS (Gear icon) > Click on Scan and Repair.
- Choose Begin Scan and wait for the process to complete.
- Once done, close the Battle.net launcher, and restart your PC.
6. Close Other Background Tasks
If somehow the Diablo IV game is still going through issues, make sure to close unnecessary third-party tasks by following the steps below.
Please Note: You should close the third-party background processes only. Don’t play with the system processes unless you’re aware of which task is doing what.
- Press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc keys to open Task Manager.
- Click on Processes > Click on the respective task to select.
- Now, click on End Task > Do the same steps for other tasks too.
- Once done, close Task Manager, and reboot the PC.
7. Flush the DNS Cache
Make sure to flush the DNS cache on your computer to easily remove stored cache files related to the internet configuration. It can also help the PC and the internet settings to freshly connect with the game servers without any corrupted or older cache data. To do that:
- Open the Start menu on your PC.
- Type and search for Command Prompt.
- Now, right-click on Command Prompt > Select Run as administrator.
- If prompted by UAC, click on Yes to proceed > Type the following command in cmd and hit Enter:
ipconfig /flushdns
- A successful message will appear > Close the command prompt window.
- Now, reboot the PC to apply changes.
8. Disable VPN or Proxy Servers
Try not to use VPN or Proxy servers at your end during launching the Diablo IV game to avoid any kind of server connectivity issues with the specific game. Using a VPN service might help in some cases to access game servers but that’ll eventually cause server disconnections, server requests timed out, stuck in the queue errors, etc due to higher latency.
9. Update Networking Drivers
An outdated networking driver on the computer can also cause several issues with the online server connectivity. It’s better to check for the networking driver update on the PC and install the same by following the steps below.
- Right-click on the Start Menu to open up the Quick Link Menu.
- Click on Device Manager from the list.
- Now, double-click on the Network Adapters.
- Right-click on the networking device > Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
- If there is an update available, it’ll automatically download and install the latest version.
- Once done, make sure to reboot your computer to change the effects.
If there is no update available for the networking driver then make sure to visit the official website of the network card manufacturer and then download the latest network driver depending on the particular model. Once downloaded, make sure to install the driver and reboot the PC to apply changes.
