Creating Partition for Windows 11 Lite

Whether you are installing Windows 11 Lite side-by-side with another Windows OS or clean installing it, you will need to create a partition for it anyways. So, let us see how we can do using any Windows operating system.

  • Firstly, go to your desktop screen and type the keyboard combination Win + R key. It will open the Run prompt on your computer.
  • Now, type “diskmgmt.msc” and tap the Enter key on your keyboard. It will open the disk management window.

  • Now, you will have to shrink one of the existing partitions to make room for creating another partition. Choose one of the partitions you want to shrink, right-click on it and select ‘Shrink Volume’.

  • Now, press the power button to turn your PC on. And in the meanwhile, press the BIOS button repeatedly. The BIOS button might differ for the different manufacturers, so make sure about yours.
  • It will then take you to the BIOS settings. Find the boot order menu and select your pen drive. Note that you need to do everything using your keyboard.
