How to use OBS?
- For using OBS to live stream you need two things: OBS and OBS Virtual Camera. By the help of OBS Virtual Camera, in the OBS studio, you can broadcast the screen as a webcam in Microsoft Teams.

- You can download the third-party plugins and four virtual cameras by clicking on the “Go to download” option.
Setting up OBS Studio to Stream with Microsoft Teams:
- First, you need your “Stream Server” and “Stream Key” which can be found on your streaming platforms. Go to the live video set up pages. Then, input the stream server and stream key into the Stream tab on OBS.
- Install the Virtual camera plugins and activate the camera of OBS.
- To share your computer screen and webcam in your Teams Meetings, you have to set the OBS camera as the primary device in Microsoft Teams.
- Then, go to the OBS studio, then open the Tools Under this section, you’ll find the option “VirtualCam“
- Select “Autostart“
- You’ll see another box with the heading Target Camera. Click on it and choose OBS-Camera.
- To enable your Virtual camera, select the Buffered Frames to zero and press Start.
- Now, open Microsoft Teams and directly go to the Settings.
- Find the Devices tab and under it, you will find the Camera Select OBS-Camera from the Camera option.
- Choose Studio Mode from OBS. You will have two screens. The right screen will be the active scene for your Microsoft Teams meetings. The left screen shows a preview of the editable scene. There is a Transition button in between the two screens. You can choose the Transition button to edit a scene before you show it to your audience.
