Fix: No AMD Graphics Driver is Installed Error

AMD, which refers to Advanced Micro Devices, recently became a topic of discussion among many users.   • Firstly, go to the desktop search bar, type Settings and open the relevant search result.
  • Now navigate to Update & Security.
  • On the left-pane menu, click on Recovery and then from the right-pane menu, under the Advanced startup option click on Restart now.
  • On the next Blue screen, select Troubleshoot and then click on Advanced options.
  • After that, select Startup Settings and then click on Restart.
  • Now before your system restarts, select the option Safe mode with networking and then wait for it to complete the reboot process.
  • Now press the WINDOWS + X key simultaneously and select the option Device Manager from the appeared context.
  • On the Device Manager window, expand Display adaptors, and it will open the list of Graphics card drivers installed into your system.
  • Now from the list locate the driver associated with AMD and double-click on it to open its Properties window.
  • Now from the vertical menu, navigate to the Driver tab and then click on the Update driver tab.
  • Once the updating process is done, restart your system, open the AMD control panel and check whether the said issue got resolved or if it persists.

FIX 3: Delete the AMD folder and install APU:

Consider deleting the AMD folder and installing the APU for getting rid of the “No AMD Graphics Driver is Installed” error. For doing so, follow the steps given below:

  • Firstly, navigate to the File Explorer.
  • Now navigate to This PC -> Local Disk (C:) and here delete the AMD folder.
  • Once you have deleted the AMD folder, navigate to the browser and open the AMD’s official website for downloading the latest drivers.
  • Now choose a Chipset and an appropriate APU and download it into your system.
  • Now install the downloaded driver into your system.
  • Once done, restart your computer, open the relevant Program and check whether the said issue got resolved or not.

FIX 4: Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 redistributable patch:

Another helpful solution that you can try for getting rid of the “No AMD Graphics Driver is Installed” error is reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 redistributable patch. Follow the steps below for doing so,

  • Firstly, press WINDOWS + R keys simultaneously for launching the RUN prompt on your screen.
  • In the empty text box type “appwiz.cpl”  and then click on OK or press Enter. It will launch the Program and features window for you.
  • Here locate each of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable packages, right-click on it and select Uninstall for completely removing all of them from your system.
  • Now navigate to the browser and open the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package official webpage. (make sure you have a stable internet connection for this).
  • Here download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package by click on the red Download tab.
  • Now double click on the downloaded executable file and follow all the onscreen instructions to complete the installation process.
  • Once the package is installed completely, restart your computer, open the relevant Program and check whether the said issue got resolved or if it persists.

FIX 5: Update the Drivers form AMD’s official website:

If none of the above fixes works for you, consider updating the drivers by downloading them from AMD’s official website. For that, all you need to do is,

  • Visit AMD’s official website and select the AMD graphics card you use. Once selected, it will open a list of drivers on your screen.
  • From here, select the latest driver and then download the installer to an accessible location on your system.
  • Once it is downloaded, run the installer, and it will also complete the installation process.
  • Now restart your computer, open the relevant Program and check whether the said issue got resolved.

Besides, you can also consider downloading the other AMD software on your system. However, if your system already consists of them, consider uninstalling them one after another and check if it makes any changes or difference (make sure you keep checking for progress after each of the uninstallation processes).
