Update Android 8.1 Oreo based Pixel Experience ROM on Redmi 3 (ido)

Xiaomi Redmi 3 (codenamed ido) was launched in January 2016. The Smartphone came out of the box with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and later upgraded to Android Nougat. We have no information whether this device will receive official support to upgrade the Android OS to a newer version. Since than developer has developed both the AOSP Android 8.0 Oreo and Lineage OS 15 for Xiaomi Redmi 3. Today we have the new Custom ROM based on AOSP Android 8.1 Oreo for Xiaomi Redmi 3 known as Pixel Experience. Now you can download and install Pixel Experience ROM on Redmi 3 (ido).

If we talk about the specs, Xiaomi Redmi 3 features a 5.0-inches IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM and has 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded using microSD card with up to 256GB. Xiaomi Redmi 3 sports a 13MP rear camera and on the front, it has a 5MP camera for selfies. The device is backed by 4100 mAh battery.

PRE-REQUISITE 

• This will work on Xiaomi Redmi 3 (ido) (Don’t Try this on Any other device):
• Charge your phone up to 80% or 70%.
• You will lose the original ROM or any CUSTOM ROM if you already installed on your phone. So make sure to Backup your phone before doing this step using TWRP or CWM or any Custom Recovery.
• You can also backup all your apps using Titanium Backup or backup complete without Root
• You must install TWRP or any Custom Recovery on your phone.
