However, it seems that there are some players reporting about the Invisible enemies and horse bug in Elden Ring which is also known as ReTerandil error.

Now, if you’re also one of the victims to encounter such an issue then you can follow this troubleshooting guide completely to try resolving it. No matter how quickly you were able to pick up the ropes in the gameplay, the chances are high that you’re unable to beat invisible enemies whatsoever. Though some players might gonna think that it’s a part of the game and developers have included such a difficult level, it’s actually not. Yes! It’s a bug only.

We’re hoping that developers are aware of this bug and they should gonna release a patch fix soon. However, this error is a technically rendering bug that appears in Elden Ring which tries to render all the surrounding objects and monsters. Though the enemies will be there, players may not be able to see them due to rendering issues. Here we’ve shared a couple of possible workarounds for you that should gonna come in handy.

1. Save and Reboot the Game

If your in-game enemies aren’t rendering properly then you can easily force them to render by saving the current game session and rebooting the game. Some affected players might gonna find it useful enough.

2. Load a previous save

It may also be possible that some players don’t have an SSD (Solid State Drive) in the console or computer. If that’s true to you, make sure to load a previous save in the game because it can also fix the character not rendering issues in some cases. However, you may lose your most recent in-game progress but that’ll be worth better.

3. Optimize graphics settings

It seems that higher graphics settings in the game menu can unnecessarily put a load on your GPU and other system resources while rendering all objects in Elden Ring. Well, reducing your graphical settings in the game may offer a much-improved gameplay experience.

4. Run on another area

If you’re unable to beat invisible enemies most of the attempt then you can always run on a new area to avoid those enemies. The invisible enemy bug only affects a couple of areas which is a relief.

5. Run a Mod file

If none of the methods worked for you then make sure to run a mod file by following the steps below.

  • Go to the NexusMods website using this link and head over to the Invisible Enemies Bug Fix option.
  • Click on the Files tab and download update-bug-fix. [If requires, you’ll have to create an account]
  • Click on Slow Download and wait for the file to be downloaded completely.
  • Now, make sure to extract the file in the downloaded folder.
  • Navigate to your Elden Ring installation folder. [By default, it should be in C: drive/ProgramFiles/Steam/SteamApps/Common]
  • Back up the regulation.bin file to another drive > Delete the original regulation.bin file from the game folder.
  • Next, copy the regulation.bin file from the downloaded folder. [The one from NexusMods]
  • Just paste it in the Elden Ring installation folder once again.
  • Once done, launch Steam and play the Elden Ring game offline to check for the issue.
