Fix: Modern Warfare 2 Friend Request Locked

1. Try Rebooting the Game

4. Verify and Repair the Game Files

Luckily, you can easily verify and repair the installed game files on the PC version with the help of the game launcher by following the steps below.

For Battle.net:

• Launch the Battle.net client on your PC.

• Select Scan and Repair > Click on Begin Scan.

You should also try using the Call of Duty Companion application on your mobile device and then try adding your friends from there. Some of the reports claim that this particular trick did come in handy. To do so:

• Download and install the ‘Call of Duty Companion app’ on your mobile device.
• Log into the Activision account > Now, go to Settings.
• Tap on Account and Network > Go to your Activision Account.
• Then you can Add Friends that you want to. It should unlock the friend requests option for sure.
• Once done, open the Quick Menu > Scroll to Notifications > Accept the Friend Request.

6. Contact Activision Support

If none of the methods worked for you, contact Activision Support for additional help. You should also create a support ticket for the same to get a better resolution asap.
