Fix 1: Reboot Your System

However, the taskbar is showing or working, so you cannot access the start menu to restart the system. Instead, you can use the traditional shortcut Alt +F4. The taskbar is a part of Windows 11 explorer services in Windows OS. After restart, the system tries to restart the explorer to fix the issue.

  • After that, write cmd in the text box and press enter.
  • Now paste the below command to delete the IrisServices and press Enter.
reg delete HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\IrisService /f && shutdown -r -t 0
  • Wait till the process is complete, and then reboot your system and check the taskbar is showing or not.

Fix 5: Repair System File in DOS

The Taskbar issue may be due to some files getting corrupted in system files. We can use the system repair from DOS, and no need to install any third-party apps to perform the task.

  • Press the Windows + r key to open the Run in your system.
  • Now and cmd and press enter to open Command Prompt and then enter the below command and press enter after each command.

Windows 11 will execute each command and repair the system files automatically. After that, close the command prompt and check the taskbar is accessible or not.

Fix 6: Check For Update of Windows 11

Microsoft is also working to fix the taskbar issue, so before moving to the following method, we can check if any update is available or pending to install.

  • Press the Windows + i button to open the settings app.
  • Then go to the Windows Update and click on Check for updates.

Fix 7: Rollback to Previous Update

If no update is available, the following method will roll back the Windows to their previous update. Sometimes there may have any issue or bug with the current Windows update.

  • Press the Windows + i button to open the settings app.
  • Then click on the Windows update from the left side corner then select the update history.
  • Now navigate to Recovery and then click on Go back to uninstall the latest update.

  • After that, click into No thanks to going to the next page as it will ask you to check for updates that we have already done in the above method.
  • Next, Windows 11 will prompt you with information that the setting or app you installed in the recent update may delete, and you have to reinstall it. Click on Next and wait till the process is complete, and then restart the device.

  1. I literally can’t fix this issue right now. I’ve tried backups, reinstalling etc but seems to be a software issue on their end. I can’t use any of my programs like this. Literally broken. No taskbar????
