For setting up the Screen Share feature in discord, we have to make sure that the video and audio hardware are perfectly set up on the Discord client. To check this, you should put a webcam in your monitor and plug a microphone to check this properly working or not. After then, you can add and connect with your friends into your server. Step 1: So, After getting into the application, go to your settings page. You can do this by clicking on the cog icon, which is at the right of your username in the lower-left portion of the discord interface.
Step 2: Through the left-hand menu, move to the App Settings and click on the Voice and Video. Using this option, you can change the setting for voice and video chat.
Step 3: After this, scroll to the Video setting section and choose the video camera you are using from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: In the right of it, you would have an option to Test Video just to make sure that everything is working accordingly.
Step 5: If you are on the Discord browser app in place of the standalone app, then you may have to give permission to enable the camera from the popup in the browser for using it effectively.
Step 6: So, click on the Allow button to give it access.
Now your Discord program has permission to access the camera and microphone of your computer to make everything works perfectly.
How to Add Someone to Your Call List in Discord?
For starting a Video call, you have to be friends with everyone on Discord who is in your Group list. If everyone in the group is on your friend list, then now you can start the call easily.
Now go to your homepage if you are not in it by clicking the Discord icon, which you can see at the top left of the screen.
Step 1: Access your friend list by clicking on the Friends option.
Step 2: After this, from there, you can click on the username of your friend or move over their name. And that will give you the option of doing a Video Call.
Step 3: When you click on the Friends name, it will automatically open a dm with your friend. Above the DM window, you can select to start a Video Call by choosing the video call icon.
If you are on the Android or iOS system, then you can start a video call by clicking the triple dot icon. From there, do a Dm or Group chat to select Start Video Call option.

Expand Down Arrow
While doing the video call on the left, you would see an icon with an “Expand Down” option. During the Video Call, clicking on this icon will help you to expand your video screen to set up it to the maximum height set by you in the Discord.

The two icons in just in the next will give you the option for changing the Video Calling to enable the Screen Share feature. I think you may know about the “Video Call” icon, but the other one on its left side is the “Screen Share” icon.
The best thing about this feature is that you can change between them at any time during the call. And while changing to the Screen Share mode, you can also choose which monitor (if you have two) or which application window to share.
Mute Option and User Settings
Before the “Leave Call” button. There is two option to its left side the first one which looks like a microphone is a mute toggle option, and its functions are for muting and unmuting your microphone when it is clicked. The other icon is the “User Setting” icon, which opens up your user setting if clicked it the same as the one which appears on the home screen of the Discord.
Quit Call Button
So, the following option is the “leave call” button. As its name suggests, this button is used to quit the call. While on the call, when you press this button, it will cut your call.
Full-Screen Toggle
So the last option is the Full-Screen option. When you press on this icon, it will directly fully maximize your call screen no matter which is your current view. To exit from the full screen, you can click on the view selector or Hit the ESC key.
