Fix: FuboTV Not Working on Samsung, Sony, LG, or any other smart TV

If the app does not work with your smartphone, then the problem is with your account or connection. But if it plays without any issues on your smartphone, the problem is actually with your TV. Depending upon your result, try the solutions mentioned below. Some are for connection-related problems, while some are for your TV.

Check Status:

FuboTV maintains a webpage that keeps track of its current status. If there is an outage, it will show up here. And in case of an outage, you can do anything from your side. You need to wait till they fix the outage on their own. To check the current status, visit this page.

If no problem exists on this page, go to the next solution.

Restart the Stream:

The issue could be with a particular channel streaming. Turn off the stream you are facing issues with and try another channel. If that channel streams, stay there for a while and then turn it off again. Now, go back to the channel that you were streaming initially.

If you face issues streaming on all channels, this solution won’t work. In that case, move on to the next solution.

Sign out and in again:

Sometimes, logging out and then back in, like other applications, can fix most issues. Just go to Account or My profile and select the option Sign Out. After that, close the application.

Now open it again, and it will ask for your login credentials. Insert your login credentials and select Sign in. Once you are back in, open up the channel that you were trying to stream again.

If it still does not work, move on to the next possible solution.

Restart the TV:

The next thing you can try is restarting your TV. You need to completely drain the power on your TV and then turn it on again.

To completely drain your TV, turn off the switch and remove the plug from the socket. Keep it for 5 minutes, and then connect the plug again. After that, please turn it on again and try opening the FuboTV app again.

If it still does not work correctly, try the next solution.

Check internet speed:

Quite often, problems with streaming applications are related to slow internet speeds. So try using other apps like Youtube and check whether your internet speed is good enough to stream HD content on Youtube or not. If it buffers on Youtube, then the problem is with your internet connection. You can try contacting your internet service provider and enquire about any possible server or connection issues. Connect your TV to your modem via an Ethernet cable if there are no such issues. A wired connection is always more reliable and faster than a wireless one.

You can also try bringing your WiFi router closer to your TV set as an added step.

If FuboTV still does not work correctly, try the next solution.

Update your Smart TV:

We need to keep the firmware of our TV up to date to ensure that we have all the latest applications working on it without any issues. Smart TVs do receive updates quite regularly to fix up specific bugs. So be sure to install any pending updates on your TV.

If updating your smart TV also does not help with the FuboTV application, try the next solution.

Reinstall or update the application:

Much like other applications, FuboTV also receives updates over time. So if there is any pending update for the application on your TV, you need to install the update right away. But the best thing to do here would be to uninstall and install the application again.

Much like how you uninstall any other application on your TV, uninstall the FuboTV application. Then go to the Play Store or App Store on your TV and then search for FuboTV. Once you find it, install it on your TV again.

Now try using it again. It should work this time around. If it does not work even now, you need to contact your TV manufacturer’s customer service. They should be able to provide you with a proper solution or a possible replacement.
